(Re)Vestir Cascais
The Municipality of Cascais is addressing the challenge of textile waste through an innovative digital management system built around the (Re)Vestir mobile application. The app empowers citizens to take part in sustainable textile management by requesting collection bags, registering the items they dispose of, and tracking their journey through transparent feedback mechanisms and gamified rewards. (Re)Vestir Cascais promotes responsible disposal and ensures that the collected textiles are sorted, and led towards the optimal route based on their condition: reuse, recycling, incineration or landfill.
Dedicated profiles for collectors and sorters enable seamless coordination and real-time operations, while the integrated dashboard provides audit-ready data that help the municipality monitor performance, generate reports, and improve circular economy practices.
Zelus role and contribution:
Zelus contributed to the design and development of the (Re)Vestir solution, creating the mobile application that supports citizens, collectors, sorters, and the municipality alike to collect data and use them to facilitate the actions expected by each of them.
Our team shaped the app’s structure and user experience to ensure practicality and engagement. We also designed the project’s visual identity and communication strategy. Zelus supported stakeholder engagement to achieve their participation and worked with the municipality’s legal team to define the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions of the programme.
