The SU-ASME prototype
The SU-ASME prototype is here! The SU team rose to the challenge of extracting value from the ASME Research Dataset. The ASME Research dataset is a subset of the KUH Adverse Drug Effects dataset focusing on melanoma patients; it includes 5881patients, 3367 diagnosis codes, 877 laboratory codes, 316 NPU codes, 192 medication codes, 592 procedure codes. The SU team have devised algorithms to predict metastasis as well as certain QoL issues on the basis of previous datapoints. These are early-research results and further validation will be necessary before they are put into clinical use, but they represent a key achievement of the ASME project and the fulfillment of its relevant objectives.
ASME (Artificial intelligence Supporting CAncer Patients across Europe), is a sub-project of the Horizon 2020 project ASCAPE (Artificial intelligence Supporting CAncer Patients across Europe). ASCAPE has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 875351.
