On October 27, 2026 the event “Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence: From Innovation to Impact” took place in Brussels, Belgium. Organized by the ECCC and DG-CNECT, it brought together EU-funded projects, industry, researchers and policymakers to explore emerging technologies, strengthen collaboration and discover the forthcoming EU Grand Challenge on AI-assisted vulnerability remediation.
The Zelus team attended the event representing two projects:
Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in cybersecurity. It can strengthen cyber defence by supporting vulnerability discovery, threat detection, incident response and recovery. At the same time, it can also be exploited by malicious actors to automate and scale cyberattacks. And if you think this has nothing to do with your or your business: think again!
The three projects are tackling these challenges, each one from a different perspective and with a different approach. However, and this was also one of the goals of this event, in alignment with each other. Sharing thoughts on a connected architecture, leveraging lessons learned from the use cases of each project and developing a common evaluation framework, the project consortia are aiming to show in practice that collaboration is not only possible but also necessary in order to have actual impact and influence policy making.
Stay tuned and we’ll keep sharing updates.
